Task: ubuntu gnome-system-tools
Assignee: (unassigned) => Ubuntu Desktop Bugs
Status: Unconfirmed => Confirmed
Comment:
Thanks for the report.
I can confirm this on Breezy, g-s-t 1.4.0-0ubuntu10, en_GB.UTF-8 locale.
I opened System | Administration | Networking, selected 'Create location' and
pasted the following string:
_a_ä_ē_ǽ_
(_<U+0061>_<U+00E4>_<U+0113>_<U+01FD>)
I then clicked OK. On opening the app again, the location dropdown was empty,
so I selected the string. It was still displayed properly at this point. I
clicked OK to close the app. I opened it again, and it was still displayed
properly. This time I clicked the Cancel button. On opening the app again, the
string had 'gone wrong'. I got:
_a_ä_ē_ǽ_
Once the string has messed up, it stays that way.
Thanks again
