Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31930

Affects: smeg (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I opened the menu editor (smeg) so that I could change the order of menu
items in the ubuntu menu. I tried draging the Sound and Video icon up
to make it higher in the menu (instead of clicking application and
choosing sound & video from the right column and using the arrow
buttons) and accidentally dropped it in the game section. After that i
dragged it out and once again accidentally dropped it in the Education
section. Then I realized how to actually shift the order, so I dragged
Sound & Video in to the Applications section at the top, and then set
the order properly. However when I opened the menu, Sound & Video was
not there. I used ctrl+alt+backspace to restart the gui, and then Sound
& Video appeared in the Games menu, I opened smeg again but Sound &
Video appeared to be in the correct position according to the editor. I
then dragged Sound and Video into the Game menu (in smeg). In the actual
menu, Sound & Video then appeared in the Education menu. So I opened
the Menu Editor again, and then dragged Sound & Video into the education
section, and in the actual menu it remained in the same place. Then I
dragged Sound & Video out of the education into the general applications
section, but Sound & Video remained where it was. Everything else worked
fine with the menu editor, but it is ineffective when trying to move the
Sound and Video section.
