Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? What happens
exactly? Do you have any to /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog about
that? Maybe you could run gdm to debug mode (option from
/etc/gdm/gdm.conf) and note if something useful is noted to the log?
