Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/32352
Comment: I had the same problem, and then I saw this thread here: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/28786, which explains that we're not supposed to mount local partitions under /media - that's reserved for pluggable media (don't worry, this is the first I heard about it too). So, I created a directory for my partition under /mnt (sudo mkdir /mnt/hda2), and edited /etc/fstab to mount my partition there. Still wasn't showing up, so I ran gconf-editor and under /system/storage, ticked the option to display_internal_hard_drives. It now shows up in Places as "9.3GB Volume", which isn't as descriptive as "Windows" (which I called my FAT32 partition), but is adequate. I don't know if this is THE solution, but it's A solution. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
