Jaap, I've had several issues like this before and usually it's because
I miss a configuration setting on the SAMBA server. First, would you
care to try disabling the firewall on the server if one is running?

After that, I've found that having the following options (if you're
running the SAMBA server on a Linux box) on smb.conf help:

# smb.conf snippet 
local master = yes
domain master = yes
preferred master = yes
os level = 65

Can you double-check you have these options on your smb.conf file?
