Description:
Network monitor provides a quick indication of the current network
status and allows access to further settings. At the right hand of the
main icon is now a horizontal signal bar twice the length of the main
icon:

This takes up an aweful lot of room and is much more space wasting than
the pervious 4-step vertical indication.
Ideally this should be make vertical again as the actualy bar provides
no clickable-target or other auxillary facility.
