The fix has been committed, but it has to go through some quality control testing before it's released to the wild. If you've been using Ubuntu long enough, you might remember that there were a couple of updates to Xorg that were broken and made serious trouble for a lot of people. That's why thorough testing is important. Nonetheless, fixed packages have been posted to this thread. You just have to download them and install.
