Comment: This happens to all my installations and only with gedit. Other editors are all fine. I ran gedit in terminal and theres no error output. Also the weird thing is that the permissions on the file change from the default setting that it was. Its like gedit is renaming the file to a back up file, then creating a new file and dumping text to it.
