Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
In Gutsy's gnome-panel 1:2.19.5-0ubuntu2, the clock-applet's multiple
timezone support is awkward. The following issues exist:
1. I apparently can't actually choose to display the time on the panel in a
different timezone, only in a drop-down menu.
2. In the Edit timezones... dialog, expanding Add timezone expands the window,
but collapsing that choice leaves a huge amount of empty space.
3. The drop-down to select a timezone by name should be two/multi-leveled. The
top level would show Africa, America, etc. The second level would show the
zones under those categories. The list as it stands now is way too long to be
easily usable.
4. The timezone drop-down seems to omit at least the US and posix categories
and possibly others. (I haven't checked.)
