Binary package hint: f-spot
When exporting to gallery (v1.5), f-spot doesn't do a very good job of
checking its inputs. Album names cannot have a certain set of characters
in them, but f-spot will merrily allow them to be used. After uploading
one's pictures into a mis-named album, the new album may appear, but
won't be modifyable or even viewable. I experienced this most recently
with the latest feisty f-spot.
Arguably, gallery should be sending the error to f-spot, but it doesn't,
so it becomes f-spots problems.
Here's the list of characters explictly illegal in album names in
gallery 1.5.4 "% \ / * ? " ’ & < > | . + # ( )or spaces"
