I'm using Ubuntu Gusty Gibbon Tribe 5 for testing before the final
release.
I don't know if this it the right place to post the bug I noticed.
If not, please post it to the right developers.
I think this bug is easy to correct.
The default font rendering after installation of Gusty Gibbon Tribe 5 on
my laptop was "Best shapes" but I discovered that for LCDs (majority of
currently used monitors) the option "Subpixel smoothing (LCDs)" do gives
better results.
So my suggestion is that the option "Subpixel smoothing (LCDs)" should
be default after installation on computers with LCD.
Of course, you can manually change the way fonts are rendered in
Appearance Preferences/Fonts/Rendering but new users usually don't know
about it and may be disappointed of bad looking fonts on their monitors.
Let the option "Best shapes" would be default for old CRT monitor users.
