Binary package hint: pidgin-dev
While attempting to build the musictracker plugin for pidgin, I was told
that I didn't have pidgin-dev installed. Digging around a little, I
found that pkg-config --libs pidgin would fail, because it said that
pidgin required purple. I then installed libpurple-dev, and all went
according to plan. Perhaps to prevent this sort of problem, libpurple-
dev should be listed as a dependency for pidgin-dev.
PS- this is in gutsy, updated as of 9/13/2007.
