hum, that's gnome-panel and not gconf-editor crashing? Could you run
gnome-panel from gdb so?
- gnome-session-remove gnome-panel
- gdb gnome-panel
(gdb) run
... use gconf-editor and make it crash
(gdb) thread apply all bt
What do you change with gconf-editor?
