After unsuccessfully trying to open a .xcf file with eog, the default
program to open the image became eog rather than the gimp. Now everytime
I double-click a .xcf, eog opens with an error. There is no way for me
to change the default back to the GImp.
I think default programs should not change unless the attempted
operation is successful or if the user changes it him or herself. An
even better option is to have an pop-up box asking the user if they want
to have "x" open such a file from now on.
