This bug has been worked around in ttf-dejavu with the upload of version
2.19-1ubuntu3:
ttf-dejavu (2.19-1ubuntu3) gutsy; urgency=low
* Workaround: patched the fonts to disable ligatures due to a bug in
firefox (LP #37828)
