Binary package hint: gedit
In Gedit, Scribes, and probably any other program that uses the same GTK
text area for it's editing buffer, copy-and-paste by highlighting the
source and then middle clicking at the destination only works if you
leave the source text highlighted. Deselecting the source text clears
the middle-click-pase buffer, so if no text is selected, none will be
pasted.
This is inconsistent with the behavior of most programs, and causes a
fair amount of annoyance.
