Oh, I managed to resolve the problem. Aparently this behaviour came from the fact that I had installed the Elisa media center from Fluendo's Ubuntu archives, and the elisa-extra package installed the python-coherence package as well. With this package installed, Rhythmbox aparently would not start. I just removed this package, and I can now hear my music again.
So I guess the bug is not in Ubuntu, but rather the Fluendo packages. -- Rhythmbox fails to start from Coherence segmentation fault https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152927 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
