Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

With Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) I created side panels and a drawer on a side
panel.
Next I installed a few application launchers for firefox to specific webpages
in the panels: in the standard top panel, in the side panels, and in the drawer.

The command lines are like this:
   firefox file:///home/jdo/Documents/page1.htm
Or something like this:
   firefox -new-tab "file:///home/jdo/Documents/page2.htm"

Every time I restart, something has changed. An application starter could be
emtpy, or one could be copied to the other etc.
It seems that they get mixed up in ~/.gnome2/panel2.d/default/launchers
The next lines are a part of the directory listing (the top file contains the
newest firefox launcher):
      %2525252525253B.desktop
      %25252525253B.desktop
      %252525253B.desktop
      %2525253B.desktop
      %25253B.desktop
      %253B.desktop
      %3B.desktop
      bash-1.desktop
      bash-2.desktop
      bash-3.desktop
      bash.desktop
      ;.desktop
      firefox-1.desktop
      firefox.desktop
      gedit-1.desktop
      gedit.desktop

kind regards
