Right, the experimental changes were mostly reverted, therefore I'm closing
this bug.

On some computers the device nodes (/dev/sd*) disappear entirely, on some (like
mine) you can remount them after ejection, and on some they behave like for
you, which is unfortunate. This is already bug 34136.
