The string of ?????????????????????? is generated as soon as % is typed. I am not able to follow the temporary workaround. No matter how I edit the template I always get the ? as part of the name and the ???????????????? are appended. I don't seem to be able to remove the template completely either. Yes, I'm sudo'ing. Any advice gratefully accepted.
