Confirming the bug. Running 7.10 on MSI S250 laptop. In my system the gnome-panel starts using 100 % of the CPU, apparently when there are 7 or more windows open. My workaround is to freeze (not kill) the process from the system monitor. This way the system stays stable and usable, but the panel is obviously is no longer available.
