You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I had a .vbs file in my home directory (from a windows system). By default the
file associations were
gvim
gvim (don't know why a second one...)
Text Editor (gedit)

I tried to remove the second gvim using RMB properties but the Remove icon
always went grey before I could click it.
Started up konqueror and used RMB properties to remove the second gvim (this
was much easier than in gnome).
Went back to nautilus and found associations
gvim
Text Editor
as expected.
Nautilus' editing of file associations is a bit unstable.

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
