Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
i tried to add a new user (which failed, claiming this user is already existing, which is not correct; what is correct is that such a user existed in the previous installation - of which the /home directory survived). the attached screenshot shows the cpu usage at 100 - it is a minute later still at 95 for nautilus. what is it doing? thanks andrew ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Thu Nov 15 19:38:00 2007 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 7.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/gnome-system-monitor Package: gnome-system-monitor 2.20.1-0ubuntu1 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcCmdline: gnome-system-monitor ProcCwd: /home/frank ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gnome-system-monitor Uname: Linux dresdenG 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- excessive cpu usage by nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/162939 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
