Public bug reported:
The System > Preferences > Appearence > VIsual Effects will reset itself
occassionaly. For example, setting it to "Extra" I will later find it
reset itself to "None". I cannot find a pattern that tickles this
problem. It appears random.
CPU Intel 2.6GHz
3GB RAM
Nvidia GForce4 video card (using restricted driver)

All updates applied through 11/21/2007 and problem still occurs
