I've got a 2560x1600 display hooked up to an NVidia Quadra. When I get
to GDM its got a funky resolution, there is a visible vertical scan/draw
of some sort and I can't see the gdm login dialog. I type in my password
and press enter and t loads up, xrandr sets the proper res, and
everything works great.
