Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xchat-gnome

I removed irc.ubuntu.net from the list of servers to automatically
connect to and I replaced it with the /server command I need to type to
connect to my bouncer since I can't graphically set it up.

When I fire up XChat therefore it will complain:

--- Looking up somenetwork.net port username:password..
Unknown host. Maybe you misspelt it?

At which point I issue the /server command. XChat ignores the command
and I have to do IRC -> Connect -> Pick any other server -> Issue
/server command to finally connect to said server.

** Affects: xchat-gnome (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
