Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/36864
Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
With xscreensaver, binding a key to lock the screen worked fine. Since
the switch to gnome-screensaver, attempting to use the keyboard shortcut
kills gnome-screensaver, with the following error on the commandline:
13093: arguments to dbus_message_get_args() were incorrect, assertion "(error)
== NULL || !dbus_error_is_set ((error))" failed in file dbus-message.c line
1373.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-BUS library.
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (out): 0x00002aaaad9ffec0 ***
I then need to restart gnome-screensaver. Locking the screen from the
GNOME System menu works fine, as does locking with gnome-screensaver-
command, so it seems to be some DBus communication issue between the
keyboard shortcuts and gnome-screensaver.
