Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
Input is accepted from the keyboard into gnome terminal, but it is written in invisible characters (so you can't see what you're writing). Also, the blinking cursor is visible. Resetting the terminal didn't help. New terminal processes don't have the problem. Nor do new tabs in the affected terminal. Just this particular terminal. I can't reproduce it, and it has not happened once before now. Hopefully, apport will say what is wrong.
