To fix this problem, you can set in /etc/environment : LANG="en_CA.UTF-8"
Of course, add your own language/country code. Reboot so the change can take effect. This bug should remain open however; there should be a default "LANG=<language/country selected by user>.UTF-8". UTF-8 should be the default, out of the box. -- Unicode display and input is broken. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181164 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
