** Description changed: After hardy update about 3 weeks ago, I have most letters cropped from the top by +- 1 pixel. Gtk2, qt3, firefox, openoffice are all concerned (athena is OK). The problem is manifested when using the xft backend, - otherwise everything is fine (two screenshots of that at the URL - mentioned above) - for that reason I report this against xft. + to pango-view. The problem is manifested when using the xft and cairo + backend, with the X backend rendering is "fine" (3 screenshots of that + at the URL mentioned above).
