No luck for me, Suspend does not appear as an option in the live session (daily live from 20080223), so I installed it. Suspend does still not appear. Information from the bugreport script attached.
I also tried to invoke the dbus-send thing (although it seems useless if suspend capatibility seems to be not recognized by gpm): [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest="org.freedesktop.Hal" /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SystemPowerManagement.Suspend int32:0 method return sender=:1.5 -> dest=:1.224 reply_serial=2 int32 1 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ If there is anything more to test/provide information, please let me know. ** Attachment added: "gpm.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12162592/gpm.txt -- System incredibly slow after suspend, refuses to restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/99675 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
