I have tested it in VirtualBox (my laptop is too old to boot Hardy LiveCD), and the bug is still there. Again, ACPI is active but there is no battery available. The dialog seems to hide two of the four radio buttons when there is no battery, but it doesn't activate one of the remaining radio buttons.
