dpkg --debug -i output attached.  The problem appears to be in the
REMOVAL script for the previous version of onboard (0.87).

Also, here is a work-around:
dpkg -r onboard
dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/onboard_0.91_all.deb

Not sure why, but removing it as a separate step makes the problem go
away.  (In this case, there are no dependencies so it is not difficult
to remove.)
