I was unable to reproduce this on a fresh install of Dapper Flight 6 with an Nvidia GeForce MX 400 video card. I am using the "nv" driver and tested both the "AntSpotlight" screensaver and the "AntInsect" screensaver with them set to display after 1 minute of activity and hitting the spacebar while they were active and saw no crash in X.
What type of video hardware do you have?
