I have looked at the ubuntu.com/testing website and don't have any idea on how to proceed with your recommendation on testing whether the bug I reported has been fixed. I am a Linux novice with a dial-up modem for internet connectivity. Does the Live Environment you mention mean that the software I would test is used on your server? If so, how would I proceed to access same? The information I see indicates that I need a spare machine and/or a spare hard drive. I cannot provide this resource capability. I will certainly help if I can, but will need some guidance.

The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help. ** Changed in: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Cannot activate Modem Monitor in Ubuntu 6.1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/89511 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. --------------------------------- Never miss a thing.
