When I open a pdf in evince for the first time, it is displayed at 100%
size, and evince sets its window size so that the whole page fits in it
-- which usually means that the window is much higher than the screen.
The only way to get it to the right size is either to maximize the
window or to use the keyboard shortcut for resizing the window.
