Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
Steps to reproduce: * Right click on any file * Choose Properties * Go to the "Open With" tab * If there are not already multiple applications, Add some (any will do) * Try to change the default app It will not work. (FWIW, a similar, Invalid report from a couple of years ago on Launchpad was related to root owning ~/.local/ - this is tested on a 2 day old install of Hardy Alpha 6 which has all of ~ owned by me). Also reproduced on another machine which was upgraded from gutsy. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- [hardy][regression] Open With properties unable to change default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201377 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
