Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: alacarte

When i upgraded to heron, my menus were all messed up, especially the
ones I created myself. it would throw an error when I tried to change
the names from "alacarte-custom" something, so I tried to hit the
refresh or whatever button that is supposed to set the menus back to
default. It crashed during that also, and now alacarte won't even open.
