Binary package hint: rhythmbox
I have inserted ubuntu alpha CD into drive, told synaptic in software sources
to read package list from CD. I got warning that i should use "apt-cdrom" and
then experienced a crash:

gnome panel still works. i had to restart rhythmbox...hope it will help
