Can't enable automatic login in Hardy. In System>Admin>Initial Session Window
if one makes some changes GDM crashes and restart for user login.
That is similar to bug #49940 reported and fixed in Dapper.
A weird sound noise can be heard in background but couldn't find the process
causing this behaving. A syslog is attached showing problems with greeter and
gdmplay.
