Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-nettool
The ping tool has two options:
(i) do at most N ping requests, or
(ii) do an unlimited number of ping requests
But, when selecting the second option, only 999 ping requests are done
at most, not an unlimited number.

In the ping tool, the option "unlimited requests" doesn't do what it says: only
999 requests are done at most.
