Playing a large movie, after a few minutes, screensaver is activated (i have it disabled) and after that monitor shutsdown.
Screensaver doesnt shutsdown the monitor, so it is clear that it is power-saver or what ever you call it in english. I have my ubuntu in spanish, and also menus doesnt say how the executables are named, i have to find out executing everything from terminal.
Yes, but screensaver is disabled. Also i am seeing right now that i have completely disabled both, monitor shutdown and screensaver. Did that with my user account and gnome-power-preferences and setting both scalebars to Never. But it still shutdown the monitor, in aprox. 20 minutes. sudo gnome-power-preferences
That is as clear as water. I DO have mentioned gnome-power-preferences, and how it is configured. And if the "Screen shutdown" bar is set to never (the right side), then it should NEVER shutdown automatically. It is clear to me that it is a bug. If "never" != "never": is a bug. or if 1+1=3: is a bug I have submitted the bug with the Totem->Helpmenu->"Informar de un Problema", because if the monitor shutsdown when it is cleared setted to not, then is or is not a problem? yes it is. So, it be more and more clear, with gnome-power-preferences setted both bars to NEVER, and playing a movie with totem, the monitor DOES shutsdown, and SHOULD NOT. And with gnome-power-preferences setted to 11 minutes, and playing a movie with totem, the monitor DOES NOT shutsdown. -- monitor shutsdown when playing movies https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204712 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
