Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
Release: 8.04
Package: gnome-terminal 2.22.0-0ubuntu1

Pressing tab to complete commands in the gnome-terminal does not work if
the terminal is looking for something other than a file name (i.e. a
command, option, argument, etc.)

Examples:
"man l<tab>" does not list possible commands beginning with 'l' to use with
'man'
"update-alternatives --list <tab>" does not list possible alternatives that can
be configured.

(These examples worked in previous versions of gnome-terminal).

** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
