Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince
When printing a pdf file in fully up to date Hardy as of 27-Mar-2008, no matter which printer or PPD I choose for that printer, and although the on screen display is correct, the printed document will have underlined text shifted over or the entire word of a header shifted over. 1st attachment is a bad print job by evince (printer=CUPS-PDF). Take a look at Section D. $ apt-cache policy evince evince: Installed: 2.22.0-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 2.22.0-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 2.22.0-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status $ apt-cache policy libcairo2 libcairo2: Installed: 1.5.14-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.5.14-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.5.14-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status $ apt-cache policy libpoppler2 libpoppler2: Installed: 0.6.4-1 Candidate: 0.6.4-1 Version table: *** 0.6.4-1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status $ lsb_release -dr Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch) Release: 8.04 ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- evince print rendering messes with underlines and character placement https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208261 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
