Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Since some time ago in Hardy the keyboard delay & speed repeat
properties don't work well.

Steps to reproduce:

1. System->Preferences->Keyboard.
2. In General tab, move the Delay rule to the left and the Speed rule to the
right.
3. Check that the new repeat settings has been applied and works ok (i.e., if
you press and hold down a key, the reptition feature is now faster than before).
4. Close the preferences window. The new repeat settings works well in GNOME.
5. Reboot the computer and go into GNOME.

Expected behavior:

The keyboard is using the new keyboard repeat settings.

Actual behavior:

The keyboard is NOT using the new keyboard repeat settings. However, if
you go to the Keyboard Preferences window, you can see that the rules
are in the same position as before reboot. You must to move the Delay
rule or the Speed rule (any of them) in order to get the new settings
work again.

FYI, I'm using a Spanish keyboard.
