Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-keyring
i'm using gnome-keyring to unlock my wireless lan on system startup. among other windows saved with the last session (terminal, evolution, firefox), the gnome-keyring-ask window appears on screen. if this window is not receiving an immediate mouseclick and/or keyboard input (=focus), and/or the window is "buried" behind other apps windows, it will block the whole desktop. all windows stop responding to mousklicks or keyboard input, there is no response to alt-tab, the xubuntu menu bar and other panels are not accessible either. the only way out it to do ctrl-alt-f_x to switch to a text terminal, log in, and kill the gnome-keyring-ask process. xubuntu 8.04 testing, the gnome-keyring version is 2.22.1-1. system is acer travelmate 382tmi. ** Affects: gnome-keyring (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- keyring daemon freezes/blocks Xubuntu 8.04 desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/213846 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
