Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evince
1)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
Release: 8.04
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$
2) Evince v2.22.1
3) Expected to be able to view the .pdf
4) Opening a .pdf file, evince balks at the first hurdle with the
following error:
Unhandled MIME type: "application/x-ole-storage".
No idea where to go from here, but a quick search of various forums
suggested reinstalling the ubuntu package "shared-mime-types", duly done
but making no difference whatsoever. The missing x-ole-storage parameter
doesn't appear to show up specifically anywhere in my Google searches.
Apologies if this is a known bug or the symptom of a misconfiguration.
Cheers,
Scott.
