Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
When I go to System -> Preferences -> Screen Saver, a gnome-screensaver
preferences window opens. There is a "mini-preview" box that shows what the
screen savers look like. When I leave this window open but focus on a new
window (e.g. by clicking 'Power Management' or by maximizing Firefox on top of
it), the mini-preview window stays on top, blocking anything underneath it.
See the attached screen shot. Apparently only some screensavers are affected.
For example, "Floating Feet" and "Blank Screen" do not. Many others do. I am
on Ubuntu 8.04 with today's updates on a Thinkpad T61, using Compiz. Video
card:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960
Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2a02] (rev 0c)
Please let me know if you need further information.
