Thanks so much for this precious help. I'll try to recompress my numerous .flac files until a new version of gstreamer comes and correct the problem. By the way, can you give me the correct command line to it properly. I fear missing up all my work. As fo the "terrible user interface" of the file host, I do agree with that and promise to find a better one next time. Thanks again.
