That option should be off by default (ie: it doesn't show the trailing zeros by default).
Significant figures are something which should or should not be used depending on the situation. The significant figures of 2 / 3 is 1, so .6 But, some might want to see .66666666 so as to know that it is a repeating decimal. In sum, the specific issue raised "trailing zeros" is invalid, as this is not default behavior and is set via an option. A feature request for "output answers in significant figures" could be reported though, as a separate bug. The best place for that feature request is with the developers of the program: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/browse.cgi?product=gcalctool There is a "New Bug" option to report new bugs. ** Changed in: gcalctool (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- Too many sig figs (1-2 = -1.000000000) !! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216420 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gcalctool in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
